I’m seeing several people respond that salmon being “too fishy” is a weird take, you’re likely not eating at the right time, yadda yadda yadda.. Read more

Okay, you get a star for using flibbertigibbet in a sentence and exactly. Most of the timelines could have been done chronologically.. but Yennefer really could not be done that way. You have to understand what she’s been through, WHY she makes the decisions she does. Read more

Oh god, you’re in Kentucky, aren’t you? I actually worked for a doc who managed to get some Pappy Van Winkle.. gave me some to share with a visiting friend from Britain. It was astoundingly NOT that different than other bourbons. Certainly not for what it costs. Personally, they can keep their Pappy and I’ll get the Read more

I really don’t agree. The main problem is, you have ALL these central characters to a story that essentially will start in Season 2. They all have vastly different lifespans. If you did it chronologically, you’d either have the Yennifer show for 3 episodes, then the Gerault show for 3 episodes, the Jaskier show for 2 Read more

THIS!.. I don’t understand all the complaints. I had ZERO problems with the timelines. I was a little confused at first, but it’s not an issue and I actually loved the way they brought all the characters together to the same time. I thought it was a really novel way to get EVERYONE’S history out of the way (how they Read more

I completely second this.. because a world without elevators would heartily suck and Hugh Jackman riding a horse through the woods is magnificent.

Living in Lexington, KY.. Waffle House is the only damn place to get grits done right. I don’t know what that awful slurry is that Cracker Barrel is trying to pass off, and the local IHOP’s don’t even offer grits. There are some local places that do.. kind of decent grits but they fancy them up with cheese.. it’s more Read more

My first restaurant job was a Hardee’s.. and you got a heavy discount for food. Wasn’t a great job and was the only job I was literally fired from for not showing up (I really hated it.. I got bullied by other staff and I didn’t mind doing the menial stuff.. but when they literally handed me a toothbrush to clean the Read more

See, these are my questions. I live/work in a small city, and while there is good BBQ, there isn’t any good BBQ downtown (which is where I work at 2 jobs.. ). So, I was REAL excited when the “gourmet” diner next door to the clock shop I work at moved and a homey “BBQ” place moved in. Legit, their BBQ smells AMAZING! Read more
