Me too!  Formula-fed exclusively.  I’ve got zero allergies and I’m quite healthy.  You do your best and ignore the assholes.  If you can breastfeed, you do it.  If you can’t, you don’t.  There should be no shame in this.  I wish we could end the mommy judgment.

speaking from a soy bean baby right here.

“There’s a lot more allergies in the past 50 years or so, especially to stuff like peanuts and animals...and there’s gluten intolerance and anxiety all of which may have something to do with not being breast-fed.”

It’s just standard issue controlling women.

There were generations where western women were convinced that breastfeeding was disgusting or low class. My Grandmother fed her 12 a homemade concoction involving boiling cows milk and adding vitamins, while my good friend’s Grandmother fed her babies goat milk with nothing done to it, all the kids involved survived.

“And, while breastfeeding in public is legal, it’s heavily stigmatized, and women are discouraged from doing it.”

Is the answer nothing? I hope the answer is nothing. Because the cult of breastfeeding is a bit overwrought. Whole eons of human history fed children by breastfeeding. Many cultures still do. Those kids turn out alright, but the mothers are largely conscripted to childfeeding if they couldn’t find a wet nurse. A huge

For me “Shut Up & Dance” and “White Bear” are the most Black Mirrorish episodes they’re certainly the two that lingered with me the longest after watching.

I understand that people don’t like National Anthem because it makes them uncomfortable but that’s exactly the point. That’s why it is such an amazing episode. I’ve never watched something that made me think, “They’re not going to do this” to “Are they really going to do this?” to “Holy Shit! They’re doing this!” I

Jumpin’ jack flash, White Bear is a good ten spots too low on this list.

I don’t understand the hate for “Shut up and Dance” and the meh-ness for “White Bear.” To me, these are the best because they ask you to spend an entire episode sympathizing for these people who are going through something grueling. They’re being tortured but an unseen force while you get more and more invested in

I have a one-hour lunch that I don’t really take very often but definitely could. I would WAY rather leave an hour early lol

Wacky. I’ve had several jobs were taking an hour lunch was mandatory. Like you could get fired for trying to work through it.

I think a half hour unpaid break is the law if you are working over 6 hours where I live.

I’ve never been dinged on a review or denied a raise/promotion because I take my COMPANY-PERMITTED  1-hour lunch break, and if I ever am, I’m going to sue the fucking shit out of them.

And where, oh wise sir/madam, is this magical Better Jobs Fairy of whom you speak?

lol

I think his point is we would prefer to claim that little bit of time for ourselves at the end of the day when it is attached to more time adequate to do something.

Okay, I ate my food, I can wander around lower Manhattan for the next 45 minutes amongst a bunch of tourists, finance bros, and trustafarians smoking dope and pretending to sleep on william street, or I can go get my work done so I can leave early”
