That's an old comic! I bet a lot of Spidey fans today wouldn't realize that a "boner" used to mean a dumb mistake.

Some states have a thing called a beneficiary deed. The deed only goes to them upon your death and can be easily revoked at any time and has probate and estate tax benefits too if I recall correctly. It was just a single page form filed at the county recorder's office. If you're in a stable unmarried relationship…
Exactly why the states and some insurance companies got caught flatfooted on implementing Obamacare. They all figured the Supreme Court would overturn it and they wouldn't need to do anything.
I spent the whole afternoon yesterday sitting outside with my dog on my lap, watching it rain, with the Dead playing. I don't know any better music for that kind of lazy day. That or maybe just meandering, noodling, blues.
I think back to an early project I had where I needed to go to an existing elementary school that was wanting to expand. By myself, I went with a clipboard and camera, and started casually wandering around the school, inside and out, taking notes, making sketches, noting where the restrooms were, where the kids…
Paste the quote into the comment box along with whatever else you want to say, click on "formatting options" in the upper right, select the quote, and then click the quotation marks icon. It italicizes and indents the selection.
I'm in engineering and construction. Our dress code is safety first, and wipe the mud off your shoes before coming in. My gf works for a company that only recently relaxed their rules requiring women wear hose and shoes that don't expose toes. They still can't have a bare shoulder. Oddly, she has no rules…
If the four camera's weren't front facing, I'd think maybe they were going to do some 3D photography for better image based searches.
add filters to make them look like a picture taken in 1978!
Same. Every picture I see from my friends on Instagram, I also see in my feed from them on Facebook, so I don't really get the point except for the filters. The new version, which I haven't tried (if it's in fact available yet) that lets you vary the intensity of the filter sounds interesting though.
The version of that I did was 8008135, which I guess was a bit more aspirational.
I didn't read the whole graphic, but of the first grouping, I'll allow #3. #7 must be sponsored by Morton Salt. 2 cups?!
Someone Pattinson's age would be the grad student research assistant to a professor of archaeology, it seems to me.
There's a company called Knox that has such a dominance in the industry for fire department lock boxes, they're commonly called a Knox Box. It's standard practice that new commercial buildings have a Knox Box somewhere that has a key to the building in it. If there's a Knox Box there, the fire dept can use their…
I'm so old, my first email address didn't have an @ symbol. Literally.
Mine started out very very good. Then there was a period after an update where it got a little balky, but then went back to normal after the next update. I had been working in the yard and had dried mud on my fingers and the damn thing still worked. I'm hugely looking forward to this update.
My niece, who due to finally getting a proper medical diagnosis that explained her weight gain, has lost 100 lbs and laments that too much of it has come from her boobs.
I haven't had the need or desire yet to trade in my 2006. Is GSM connectivity now a thing in cars other than Tesla's? If so, it seems like a hard switch that kills power to the GSM module if the engine is on would solve most of the problem.
I may be gloriously wrong as a result of being a single language speaker, but aren't there languages, and for some reason I'm thinking German, that have sentence structures reversed from English? Like English would use a noun-verb order where another language puts the verb before the noun. That seems like it would…
