For once the the “What car...” blog photo is ABSOLUTELY NOT the right car to suggest. I would take a Lagonda any day of the week.

Umm, Montoya won on his first attempt at the 500. He also won at Nazareth in his first oval race ever.
argh, this thing is only an hour away from me, struggling to keep my wallet unopened....
If you live in the South it may not be a fantasy, otherwise I subscribe to your fantasy and make it my reality.
I love this car bc it would look totally at home on Speed Racer (the cartoon natch). Tell me I’m wrong.
I think I know the solution. My general rule of thumb (but not a rule) is buy Japanese.
That’s too funny, I bought mine at a Honda/Suzuki dealer! It was actually not exactly new, it was a demo with 5,000 miles on it. Despite those miles being (I’m sure) hard miles, it’s been a great car. It is off the road temporarily while I address worn out parts and cosmetics.
I think that’s a myth, or at best a general rule of thumb, not a rule. I’ve still got the Suzuki Swift GTi I bought new in 1989 - it’s first year of production. In all that time it’s stranded me once for unforeseen mechanical reasons - a $15 electrical connector went bad in 1999.
I always wonder how many BAT auctions are won, but never transacted. As in the buyer never pays.
Have people on planes gone freaking crazy lately, or is it just the news flavor of the day? It’s been a long time since I flew, 5 or 6 years, so I don’t have recent comparison to use. I don’t remember this puckering kind of crazy. Hell, I remember when I was a kid my dad used to dress in a suit to fly because it was…
It always amazes me how some people have this much energy to spend being childish. Sometimes, I can barely make it through the day without collapsing.
I swear, what a shitty blog post.
I think it’s more than likely that if the head coach of an NFL team walked over and gave one of his players the cutthroat gesture, during a game, that there would be LOTS of video of that happening. I haven’t seen anything remotely like that - yet.
I so wish Driven was bad in a good way, but honestly, unlike so many other things, it hasn’t improved with age.
O MY GAWD! This is character assignation I tell you!! Nothing less I say SIR! You seem to think you know my motives better than my MAMA! I am so offended by your brash, brusk, bloody and O-Fence-Ive accusations directed towards me that I may just have to have a nice long cry into my miserable LGBT crapper. Sniff,…
You need to up your troll skillzzzzz
I am just dying for someone to enter an LGBT sponsored car in response.
I always feel like the fear that you will blow up a new car learning to drive a manual is way, way overblown. Modern clutches and transmissions are stout and can easily survive the week or so it takes a reasonably coordinated person to learn how to drive a manual.
Um, kudos to the guy for a budget of $30-45K having just graduated college. My budget for transportation right after college was a half eaton box of Frosted Flakes and a rusty lawn chair...
What I’d really love to see is Nice Price Win vs Cost graph. I have this suspicion that anything below $2,500 is a near lock for a Nice Price Win.
