I love this man and what he does for Baltimore. The city, because fuck the Os after the last few weeks.

I did this too! We spoke english and spanish at home, so it was pretty easy to figure out my grandmothers Babbar books in french (abuela was badass and spoke, that I know of, 6 languages). This was also helpful in Italy, where I was able to (simplistically) speak “Italian”.

Than I grew up and as an adult, tried to take

She’s in the pool, and they are pressuring her parents to send her to one of the residential year round soccer schools - maybe IMG? (on top of her travel team) I’m not following it too closely.

Their system is set up to only promote those folks who can pay to play. My wife’s cousin is 14, and they told her dad he needs too pay FIFTY THOUSAND A YEAR to keep her at her current competitive level through college. Holy fuck no, I don’t need access to the team that badly.

That’s not his call to make on my behalf. I am my own person, and I will say something if I need to be coddled like that.

No. 1) its a co-ed sports league. The “coach” is just the guy who put the roster together.

More than one of them had run into me and fell on their asses, so they didn’t have a problem hitting me. I think the problem was who ended up on the ground.

I’m in! Sports is the one place in life after the army its still okay to snap orders instead of working for consensus :)

When I got out of the army and graduated from law school my wife took me to a backwater. I think tackles are technically illegal, but the refs are like 17.

He knew them. Didn’t change my predominant identity in his mind - female.

If explaining things was all it took to disabuse men of biased notions, we would have fixed this little issue by now.

Or, hot take, it could be because they enjoy the game to?

I am over 6 feet tall, a former soldier, power lifter, former Div 1 women’s soccer player and current rugby player/coach. I played one season in a co-ed soccer league, and after the third time my team captain made me play out of position, or moved me to the other side to match a woman, “so that the guys wouldn’t have

I haven’t worn a dress in 20 years and that stopped me in my tracks while scrolling through this.

As an Orioles fan, I agree. Fucking Dodgers.

I’m going to be heart broken when Manny leaves. This has been, even when losing, such a fun team to watch which is a nice change from some of our past incarnations. I actually watched the whole double header yesterday, which I normally don’t have the patience for, because watching the guys who had the game off screw

My sister, brother, and I have a group chat for the world cup. My sister and I were appalled when my brother, watching at a bar, couldn’t figure out why they kept cutting away to find that “guy in the stands” for reaction shots. He’s out of the will.

I literally had no idea there was an active duty presence there besides recruiters and MEPS. Is it actually a live on/community base? I always though it was local economy, and the first couple times I heard about this assumed it was a national guard/armory style check in - which, if possible, makes it even more

My wife is a Buffalo Bills fan. I think I choke for up more last night than she did in January.

They are already there! I was trying to find it through on demand last night, and ended up rewatching a couple of episodes from this season through Netflix

Oh, c’mon now, you know that Supergirl can’t have interpersonal conflict or internal conflict if a man isn’t involved! /s
