Uhm, a quick cursory glance at FM’s website says the cheapest full (non-reduced) NB Voodoo II kit is $2,345. So, just a small amount of fact checking there.

45 pounds, and sure you do. That’s why I drive a Fiero, Miata, MR2 Spyder and an ‘02 Camaro Z28.
5 horsepower, but 36 extra torques. With a much flatter, longer 100% torque plateau compared to the short NA peaks. Smoother power delivery with more of it for longer? And a short tune away from 200/200? Or a tune and intercooler away from 220/240? I know which I’m looking at.
Given how insulated against EMP most systems are these days, it would take literal nuclear war to cause EMP strong enough to bring society to a standstill. At which point, fallout, radiation, or even the initial blast would be doing far more damage and the EMP would be minor collateral by comparison. Yes, a solar…
Deep end? Nah. Just pointing out reality. An engine with a lack of torque and a 1200 RPM powerband does not a good source of locomotion for a sports car make. By the time you get into power, you have to shift. This is why even Honda themselves moved to a turbocharged engine with more low-end grunt in the ‘16 Civic Si.…
There’s a problem with that powerband. It’s only 1200 RPM long. The L67 starts torque at 3600 and holds through 6,000. And once again, reliability. L67 is more or less bulletproof. It isn’t being run at the maximums of its thermal efficiency, making its duty cycle twice to three times as long as the Honda motor. Not…
250 horse on 87 octane but with less than 200 ft-lbs of torque. Whereas the 3800 will do 260+ ft-lbs. Injectors and a pulley change away from 300/300 hp/tq.
To be fair, it’s not just the deeply uncompetitive nature of the Dart keeping people away from it. Anecdotally, my roommate purchased a Dart new from the showroom floor. 1.4 MultiAir. He keeps a perfect maintenance track record. And yet let me list the things that have needed to be replaced in the first 35,000 miles:
Two rounds of .380 in a self defense situation where someone is actively trying to stab you will do a lot more than 0 rounds of .380. Then again, on the subject of the article, that concealed gun would be useless in that situation because good luck trying to unfold it while having a blade repeatedly thrust in your…
Handguns are not as difficult to get as you claim. When I lived in BC, I purchased two cap-and-ball revolvers, a Sig P250 and a Beretta U22 Neos. That’s four strikes against your handgun statement. A youtuber by the name of Skallagrim /also/ owns a few. And he’s also in BC. Handguns under 105mm in barrel length are…
I’m sorry, but three quarters of this post is simply untrue for British Columbia. Please stop acting like Quebec is all of Canada. It’s ignorant and insulting. Sorry.
Considering modern .380 (Federal HydraShok or Hornady Critical Defense) has 13" of penetration on ballistics gel through four layers of denim with decent (45%) expansion, going to go on a limb and say the claim that .380 is marginal for defensive carry is a line of bull. Especially when you consider that, at distances…
Except that isn’t how that works. Gun shows across the country prohibit “individual” sales on-premises. You have to go off-premises to get an individual sale completed, and by that point, it’s already toeing the line of illegal on several existing regulations. If buying from any FFL at the gun show, you still have to…
No, no I didn’t. Waste is exactly that, wasted potential energy. The more waste a particular type of reaction produces, the less efficient it is. Physics.
Serious question: Where is that blue LED glow coming from behind the butterflies?
Coal to Electricity produces considerably more waste product then gasoline-to-motion. The matter->energy conversion via combustion is much more efficient when you have less waste products, IE: emissions.
Just hold down the engagement button the whole time.
Re: Quirk #1: The Fiero is the same way!
Depends on what provides your electricity. Coal? That’s not very efficient.
GoPros have survived higher falls.
