I’ve been interested in listening to the War Doctor audio series, featuring the late great John Hurt as the Doctor. I’ve heard great things about it and, honestly, I loved the little bit we had of Hurt as the not-Doctor Doctor in the show (to the point I later read Engines of War, the novel featuring that same Doctor)

Happy to see Final Fantasy XII: The Zodiac Age get all the love. I recently got it for my (quarantined) birthday and it’s been a very enjoyable and addictive romp through this pandemic, although I am currently stuck getting my ass kicked in the Golmore Jungle. Guess I need to grind.

Hear, hear for the Rogue Squadron trilogy compilation in particular, but, I mean, Aspyr has already done up KotOR II on PC, why not just put them on Switch now? They’re doing that to games they haven’t improved on PC before!

On the other hand, if you didn’t buy 2011 Blu-rays in the hopes something like this would come along, I do think the collected features overall make it worth it.

Two Jedi Knight games, Episode I Racer...

I guess you weren't prepared for... unforeseen consequences.

Can you tell by my avatar, the fact that I ran a Half-Life/Garry’s Mod site from 2012 to 2018 (which was even linked on Kotaku once!), and that I began developing a brand new version of said site last August, months before the Half-Life: Alyx reveal and before I knew anything about the “HLVR” leaks, that I really love

HL2:DM was brilliant and I used to play it with friends all the time, up to 2012 at least. I won’t hear a bad word about it.

I forgot about this but my subconscious clearly didn’t, because I just remembered that I dreamt of a Nintendo Direct today where they’d announced a full-blown Metroid Prime remake.

You know, a black and white image of George R. R. Martin during the novel coronavirus pandemic, to which older people are more vulnerable, is gonna stop a lot of hearts for the split second before they read the title...

Coronavirus is the real Y2K bug.

I would absolutely love it to be Lady Loki but I’m still betting it’s the Enchantress.

I don’t even know why, but I’m growing increasingly excited about the new Matrix movie and I don’t even like two thirds of the previous ones all that much.

I thought this was a given considering Padmé is also seen in the same trailer wearing her RotS costume and noticeably pregnant?

I was talking about Vesperia though. Which has been good so far, 10 hours in.

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition on Switch! It just dropped to half price digitally on sale and I finally took the plunge.

Yes, I think in words, but almost like a constant dialogue between two sides, snarky replies included. I even sometimes laugh out loud at a snide answer in my head and look like a crazy person.

Joking aside, my best guess’s that there’s a whole regeneration cycle pre-Hartnell’s Doctor, as well as a whole Time Lord era of history, that was swiftly erased from everyone’s collective memory - maybe even from history itself -and somehow also ties into the real origins of the Time Lords.

The sad thing is, this type of thing kinda began with Half-Life 2, perhaps my favorite game of all time, for which I own a physical copy that is basically useless since, as far as I’m aware, it still requires Steam.
