“Secrets are not my concern. Keeping them is.”

“Scary” to me WAS Freddie Krueger. The next generation chose Jigsaw. Stomach turning gore isn’t scary, it’s gross.

is there any news about the TV series based on the Nightwatch? the one Pratchett’s daughter was supposed to write?

The best terry prachett life adaptation to film (up to now) was “Going postal”. It had a bit of a western feel and style to it. Especially with Charles Dance as lord Vetinari and David Suchet as the main bad guy Reacher Gilt.

But we already have a really, really great Neverwhere TV show from the 90s. With Peter Capaldi!

Just you wait until they announce a Neverwhere miniseries for 2020. With the radio cast reprising their roles.

I’m hoping that this series hits big enough that people demand more Terry Pratchett. I love Neil Gaiman too but he’s already out there a lot, and deservedly so. More of the world needs to be introduced to Pratchett though.

I read somewhere that the proposed title for the sequel novel was 668: The Neighbour of the Beast.

I really resent not being able to pump this series directly into my veins already.

Their plastic surgeon is a huge Dark Crystal fan.

I honestly think it’s all the cigs they smoke. They smoke A LOT.

I was thinking the same damn thing - they both look REAL beat. I am 31, and I can honestly say on my worst day I don’t look nearly as Keith Richards as they do.

It could only be improved by everyone getting their Dazzler on and running around in roller skates...

Yep, I was thinking of Zathras the whole time. Loved that it wound up being a Pertwee/Davidson era call back to the disguises.

I’ll admit to not recognizing Simm until he started interacting with Missy. To be honest the character he was playing when in disguise gave me such a strong Zathras vibe that I went to see if it could be the same actor (sadly, he is deceased).

Oh good, glad to know I’m not the only one who still remembers Zathras.

Am I the only one who thought Razor was an awful lot like Zathras from Babylon 5, right down to the accent? This episide really was an awful lot of fun and I really can’t wait to see how they resolve Bill Pott’s story.

Actually, more like Zathras I thought

The Pilot - great introduction of a new companion and setup of season-long mystery.

The best part....she called him a smurf.
