Apologist.

Maybe you’re just not doing it right?

No there’s little there worth pursuing. I think that vein’s been tapped enough.

That scene always looked a bit contrived to me. Of course that whole movie just seems a little off. Wish they would have left the female villain angle story in there instead of how they did it.

In a world of this shit...

io9...race baiting at its finest.

Well Stargate started in 1997 (B5 ended in 1998), and I’d argue that the first couple seasons of that show were pretty clunky.

I think everyone who’s ever seen this movie does this...I do it at least a few times a week. Always nice and sweetly in that scottish brogue.

I’m not disparaging one or the other. I happen to like both, so not sure where you were going with this. Having watched both (as they came out on TV and later streaming and DVD) and I can accept a lot of the criticisms of B5. The big problem I think isn’t that the story is bad, but rather that it has little

Good Ol’

Not Everything!

Problem is that they want to do a movie...I would prefer another TV series to be honest. The quality of everything non-trek at the time is similar though. Not until 1999 does sci-fi television start to get better. Even Stargate SG-1's first season was pretty terrible quality-wise. We live in a post Battlestar

And I’m not arguing against the brilliance of DS9, it’s my favorite Trek, but I do think that Babylon 5 had a better story to tell, clunky or otherwise.

2023?!?

I’m sorry I think that perhaps to start certainly SOME of the actors were wooden but the show evolved and I would argue that Girabaldi, Sheridan, and even Ivanova eventually all got better. And the problem isn’t in the Actors OR the effects, it’s in the comparison to something that is clearly a better overall product.

Sadly that’s not true...

Shame on you...drop everything and binge
