Everyone grieves at their own pace, it’s not linear. I have had dogs who’ve passed and I always said I won’t do it again. The loss of an animal is one of the most difficult to get over.  However, something changes at some point and your heart is open to give another one a home.

I am sorry if I offended you and I am sorry for your loss. There was no ill will. Was trying to make it relatable for others to understand.

It’s like someone’s child dies, then others tell them, quick have another one to fill the hole. That’s not how it works. People need to grieve over the loss.
