This is fantastic. Also, now I have to go call my son, who's on the fringes of the path of utter destruction and mayhem. (He actually probably does not know how to prepare for this, having spent his entire 23 years in western/centralish Texas.)

Hey, whoa, that's actually fabulous.

That gif is everything.

Heh. Hook 'em, indeed.

I hate to be "that woman" but this is important, Patrick: The site linked features US enabled gambling, and is one of the "meh" casino groups out there, if you're going to risk gambling online (which is a no-no in the US thanks to the UIGEA) in the first place.

"Amateurs...," said anyone who's flown out of San Diego on a commercial flight.

There's no way in hell this apt belongs to a bj-specific oilpatch dude. Not a chance. I have a horrible suspicion that you're right on the money with the "broker" comment - I'd suspect this is a quick and easy way to recruit young women into a trafficking situation. :( I live in this part of TX and both of the towns

I made you a Christmas present!

The last couple of years I've made a huge batch of that cabbage soup (another infamous bs fad diet) and "force" myself to use that as my go-to for snacks or light meals or whatever, because my gods, December WRECKS me after all of the desserts and drinks and whatnot. It's almost like a mental reset.

Word.

You're adorable.

I'm all for it, and why not? The problem with "Black Friday" isn't the deals, it's that it's become this Thing that requires people (the normal, not shopping obsessed ones) to go to work earlier and earlier on/RIGHT after a holiday.

It was way off for me, too.

Jesus, thanks for sharing this, I'd never have seen it otherwise, and as another commenter pointed out, it reminds you that good is still within reach for humankind.

Don't take this personally, but damn, I'm sorry I commented. I suspect I'll be getting grim notifications for quite some time.

An excellent, and depressing, point.

Christ. When the only truly surprising thing about this is that it seems to be a first... fuck. Just, fuck.

Fun fact: John Clune also represented the victim in the Bryant case, which led to a settlement. (I am a big, big, big fan of Mr. Clune, both professionally and personally - the major scope of his focus is Title IX work, and he's aces, for real.)

John Clune, an attorney for the woman. "That kind of intimidation tactic isn't going to get him very far here."
