I’ve never been able to get behind comics that put a spotlight on how little the world makes sense, even for a comic.

It’s still so weird to me that David Icke, a straight-laced guy who presented sports commentary on the BBC when I was a kid is now a completely batshit lizard people conspiracy theorist.

Thanos’ design has always been awful. That dumb chin is ridiculous.

It’s bold to walk into a pre-production meeting with notes and say, “I know we’ve been building up to this story for a decade now, but what if we tweaked our Big Bad to look more like a testicle?”

You’re asking comic book nerds to all agree on something? On the internet?

Worse, Ready Player One reinforces hoary old stereotypes about nerds and fandom cultures, including the centering of white males whose love of stuff coincides with being socially maladroit. Their arrested development comes with a hyperspecific knowledge that gets messaged as the key to fulfillment.

You ruin their drama . Like saying it was wrong for her to kill , Kilgrave to reclaim her own personal power can control (Kilgrave lacking any redeeming qualities ) .

I’ve moved into non-clinical psychological areas as a doctoral student, but if I recall PTSD is actually highly treatable in most people and it’s rare for it to be such a long-term and persistent issue. It relies heavily on CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy) and that’s a modality that gives patients lots of “homework”

/It may be hard for Americans to fathom, but some people speak multiple languages... ;)

Read your comment, couldn’t remember the header image, scrolled back up to see, regretted it immediately. Curse you and enjoy your f-ing star.

If you took everything that people said Rian Johnson ruined Last Jedi, and concentrated it into one still image, and then cast dark magic to amplify it by 10x, it would not come close to the abomination that is the header image of this article. Is my opinion.

If they really want to let the past go then they should really change it up, because I agree that imitating Williams isn’t right.

I got an Obama vibe from his slow speaking cadence. Like this is a guy who knows what he says will have a outsized impact and he’s thinking about how he will be received.

Apparently that’s just how Boseman talks in real life. He’s a slow careful talker.

I thought Boseman’s performance was excellent. and his speech was measured since he was groomed to be a Monarch. Making sure he was not misunderstood was his goal. Judging by the political climate it was smart to do so.

I fell like this actually killed Boseman’s performance for me. He was clearly not comfortable in the dialect and his speaking did little to indicate intention. The non-American actors seemed much more comfortable.

Definitely a Long Island thing, too.

Thanks to his genetic inheritence from his mother, my 8 year old son is an advanced math student (2nd grade, takes math with the 3rd graders). We had to cut a deal with the teacher- he puts the right answer first, then goes backwards through all the ridiculous hoops of ‘showing his work’ after the fact. When I look at

I have never related to a movie scene more than him trying to figure out the way they’re teaching math these days.
