That's one of those things that just knowing it happens makes me uncontrollably angry.
It's so pointlessly evil and purely spiteful. It's one of the many things that makes me glad I'm not American.

Yea but I'm assuming Chibnall will use this time to prep his new series, while Moffat is prepping his last.
We don't know yet that he will be writing any scripts in Moffat's last season.

Um… Capaldi is sexy as fuck.
I can just see the Daily Mail headlines now if Atwell got the part, accusing the BBC of using sex appeal to sell the show… That kind of just makes me want it more.

What about Dev Patel?
He's done some films but also TV and he's British.

Plus it's basically responsible for Glee, right?

Noooooo. *cries at the thought*
I like her enough as a comedian and actress but she doesn't have the range for that part and seems to have a very condescending attitude towards the franchise.

But it's the perfect cover! Like the American government creating the show X-Files to discredit anyone who finds out about the their real X-Files.

"Also, one measly Christmas special in 2016?"
There's also a spin-off series coming out, I had a suspension something like this might be happening when that was announced and then the rumors of Capaldi leaving after series 10.
I think a break is good as it will give the new showrunner a good amount of time to get their

I called that a while ago and I'm sooooo glad it will also be Moffat's last series. I'm a fan of his writing but I don't think I could take his version of a female Doctor, it would have been fantastic if we got a female showrunner as well but this will have to do.

And if we're getting a new (hopefully female Doctor) all I can say is: Tilda Swinton! Tilda Swinton! Tilda Swinton!
I will also accept Zawe Ashton or Hayley Atwell.

I'm a Moffat fan (mostly) but I think this is the right time, he's clearly building towards a female Doctor which I really but also think Moffat would be completely the wrong writer for that character, so I couldn't have asked for a better situation.
And one more series with Moffat and Capaldi is no bad thing.

I just realized what that expression was, I was under the misconception it was "win-falls" all this time.

I honestly never knew. I knew it wasn't German but it sure as hell didn't sound like anyone I'd heard in England.
I must google this place if they all sound like Alan Rickman.

No it's not. I could say that about the original trilogy, I honestly forget what they were called there too.

Weird, I'm English and have only ever lived in the UK and never though Alan Rickman had an English accent.

I am the same, although I still enjoy Star Wars perhaps because it's the polar opposite of what I normally watch.
If you play video games and you're interested in something in the Starwars franchise which provides and alternative to the black and white good/evil dichotomy of the films, Knights of the Old Republic II

I read quotes from it on a couple of blog posts and articles. Do you have a link to the full speech?

"I don't have an answer to that, but in seeing if I could find it online more easily than digging up Fragile Things, I've noticed that there's a ton of great bits one finds Googling The Problem of Susan. Try it, kids!"

I don't know but he's often depicted as a cracker, despite the fact he would likely had a darker skin tone.

Fake, considering the video has 90s styling (complete with a VHS blue screen at the start) but uses the word "swag".
