Arrived this morning to find one of the chimneys had literally fallen off the building. :/ The end of the month/notice period can’t come soon enough so I can escape this death trap.
As you may have known if you read the comments in the union thread, I was having serious issues with my private school administration, and they just kept getting worse. Not normal aggravations, but literal vermin in the walls, as the walls crumble, significant unpaid overtime in violation of the law, planting cameras,…
Curious how many opponauts are unionised and oppo’s opinions on unions. I’m unionised, a union officer, and an organiser for my union (disclaimer: not related to my work at GMG, and I do not speak for GMG’s union or unionised workers at GMG), and I am a strong supporter of unions worldwide.
Here in Japan I drive a Honda Logo, a supermini that was kind of a precursor to the Fit you’re familiar with. Honda, unfortunately, never made a Logo Type-R, but I’m getting close with a few simple and affordable interior swaps. I used factory parts, just never in way the factory imagined.
Traffic sucks, so why not start your morning off with some music? You provide the toast and we’ll provide the jams.
It’s a 1997, but other than the design change of the interior door panel, it’s exactly the same. I have no idea if it has glass or not, because it has power windows/power locks. I need to color match the pillars to black and figure out how to switch out the key hole apparatus.
Full write up will go on The Garage. As expected, the only real issue with the CTR carpeting was that it doesn’t have a side wall. I think I’ll use some garden/gutter guard to make the side walls to fit under the body edge lining and over the edge of the carpet. That should do it.
So the EP3 CTR carpet finally came. I’ll be doing a full Jalopnik Garage post on this, so this is just a taste. My door is still MIA.
Oh, she’s a beauty. Yes, that bezel is sparkly gun metal! Something I didn’t realise from the pictures. It kind of just looks like glare on black or gray, but it isn’t!
So my parts, according to the tracking are “out for delivery.” That means, of course that someone is going to be stopping by my apartment, finding me not there and dropping off a call back request. So I’ll need to get home and call and wait to see what goodies have arrived.
Let’s be honest, the Tokyo Auto Salon isn’t exactly known for its high number of classic vehicles. Instead it’s known for all the utter insanity of its modification. When a classic shows up, it sticks out. And the WWork rich blue Triumph TR3A is a Rembrandt at a hipster modern art gallery.
What is this?
From this in 2012 to this in 2015. That’s actually wrap, not paint, and he repaired a whole bunch of stuff. Puts me to shame.
I’m replacing that passenger door, putting in the EP3 CTR carpeting in and swapping out the instrument cluster from my 2000 to 2001:
In 2016, it was disappointing to see the very few Honda vehicles at Tokyo Auto Salon. And, it has to be admitted, I still have a great deal of disappointment that so few ‘90s Hondas like Civics, CRXs, and Preludes showed up at 2017, too. However, a number of modified S660s, Honda’s tiny kei car roadster, were…
Long distance road trips can be expensive, especially in places like Japan where to get any distance in a reasonable amount of time, you have to take tollways. When you add up the cost of hotels and food it can get quite expensive. But there’s a better way: turn your car into a mini-camper!
I’m getting ready to replace my TS badge. Which one one of these would look best. Original picture also included.
So, I found some red carpeting for $10, said to myself, hey, I can probably toss this in the GA3, and if I fuck it up, well, no big loss. Well, I fucked it up. The non-molding of it didn’t work at all, I left myself what I thought was enough edging to trim it and fit it, I didn’t. My hole measurements were all wrong.…
