Yeah, I’m getting PPF applied this weekend because I’m shallow. ~.~
All I know is it’s a three layer paint - metallic base coat, red tinted clearcoat, then a standard clearcoat. I’m guessing it’s the red tinted clearcoat that gives it that amazing sheen off-axis.
My sales guy commented that Soul Red Metallic makes other reds look flat, and Soul Red Crystal makes Soul Red Metallic look like other reds.
Soul Red Crystal is a hell of a paint.

I’ve got a couple pieces from the late 1800s that belonged to my great-great grandmother. It’s neat having a little family history in the kitchen. Haters can suck it.
I’ve done this with salt and steel wool to rescue some old, slightly rusted pans my MIL found in her attic. It works. You’ve gotta do a full re-grease afterward and then use the thing regularly to build up the seasoning.
