Although the party was the least Star Treky party I’ve ever seen... it was the only Star Trek party that’s ever seemed even vaguely realistic, as nearly every birthday celebration shown on STG had the feeling of a wake, with everyone Xanax’d up the whazoo.

I enjoy Nemesis and I’m glad it exists. My only regret is the well-poisoning effect to which you allude. But I see genuine entertainment value in every one of the movies. Even if I’m the only one. They may not be II/III level masterpieces or even Star Trek Beyond, but I’d rather have it than not. Many scenes are still…
