Someone once asked me (I am a cat owner, and a pretty heavy meat-eater as well) if I thought they could feed their new cat some kind of vegetarian diet, because they were vegetarians. I don't think I've ever side-eyed anyone so hard before or since.

THANK YOU for pointing this out. This is what gets me really furious. They act like the options are factory-farm atrocities or full-vegan. This woman is not talking about simply the factory-farm horrors but she is ascribing human qualities to a fucking. chicken.
