Not to mention a lot of women who don’t have kids but do want a job where she is paid what she should be earning.

(I doubt Pence does locker room “pussygrab” talk.)
Yeah, same here. As my name suggests, I’m a public defender. If I strike, I’m doing actual harm. I’ve done a walk-out for BLM, but I still covered my cases before (and after). But I think people are generally understanding of why we can’t participate.
public safety and health are generally seen in these as “probably you can’t strike bc we don’t want people dying and that’s ok” <3
You can still participate by not spending any money that day. Don’t buy coffee or get gas. Pack your own lunch. Go straight to work and straight home. And try and be supportive of women who are in a position to participate.
There are lots of industries where people aren’t allowed to strike, because of this. Most people will get that.
I read this as completely satirical, poking fun at the kind of “it’s about time” attitude you describe. Bobby Finger’s style is generally tongue-in-cheek and flippant. I could see being annoyed if you took the post at face value, though.
My first reaction was ‘no boys allowed!!!!!!’
Yes. Curves gyms.
Trump has alternative class.
This should be higher up the threads.
When I searched, this was the first organization to come up. I would think UFO enthusiasts are more on the consumer end of the mental health services spectrum.
One of them was a size 3. ;)
i’m three years ahead of you...
I’m 38 and can say “NO”, no they did not in my classes. I was going to a Kentucky school at the time, just south of Cincinatti, OH, so that may have something to do with it or it could be I just had some truly lousy teachers (I tend to go with this, mind you, I wasn’t the best student either). All I can recall from my…
I’m sorry dude, social work is super tough. I hope you’re taking care of yourself.
I know it doesn’t help much to hear this but I was in a very similar state about a year ago. I’ve always had depression but I never imagined it could be that unbearable. I maxed out my sick days and it was all I could do just to show up at work, and I couldn’t even do that all the time. Brushing my teeth wore me out.…
I hope things get better for you soon. Depression sucks, and so does your boss. Do whatever you have to do. If you are describing this episode as dangerous, then seriously, cope with it HOWEVER you need to. If that involves sick days, then it does. Hugs.
I’m going through kind of the same thing re: depression wise. I don’t have much to say besides you’re not alone and I hope you find a way to come out of your depression. I know it’s hard. Take care of yourself.
Trump is Javert.
