Agreed! A fucking ton of commercials are sexist (a million iterations of ‘men are hapless fools at laundry/diaper changing/cooking, so lol woman fixes his mess and takes her rightful place as head of household chores with xyz product’ which is eye roll inducing) but this is not that. This is disgusting - the butt of Read more

Agreed. Right now she seems to have a great platform, but I don’t think she’s used it to do much, yet. Which is fine, really - no one has an obligation to help or advocate for others even if they’re in a position to do so (particularly when it can expose you to a lot of hate) but I struggle to see what this award is Read more

Yeah, agree about the jerk thing - plus she shares the same desperation for fame as the rest of her family. I find them all off-putting, the way everything has to be a selfie moment or something. Blehh.

Eh, I mean it’s not the Nobel Peace Prize but it is a fairly prominent award, I’d say.

I guess there's an element of trust that someone

Just in the spirit of this sort of intellectual debate - do you think the preserve “DS Culture” or preserve the “different lens on the world” view really matters when the vast majority of people in that group likely don’t have the intellectual ability to recognize their ‘group’ and develop pride the way other groups Read more

I feel the exact same way! My mom was always a bit nutty about expiration dates and not eating leftovers past a day or 2 and it's certainly rubbed off on me. A yogurt one day past its expiration date will taste odd to me - even though I know it's purely psychological!

Yeah. I agree that I give the concept some side eye and may not buy them myself, but the creators are clearly savvy ladies with a good intention so I don’t see a need to annihilate them
