I've heard the post pretty much nailed her inner campaign circle here (granted this was a few weeks ago, but I’ve had at least half these folks confirmed since then):

Woah, Kat, thanks for sharing. I'm sorry you've had to deal with such misogynistic creepy bullshit. I do wonder though—have you noticed a difference in street harassment (directed at you or just in general) in Japan vs. in the US? I imagine there are cultural differences but I would be interested to know what that…
I hate that I find him attractive in spite of his crime. Or maybe because of it? $40 is good money! He could treat me to a really nice meal at the TGIF with that kind of cash
I'm mostly angry that Verizon once (maybe in late 2012ish?) promised to grandfather in people who already have unlimited data, and now they've said that they won't honor that.
The venmo app!
Opposite arguments, same capitol assholes.
Really? I feel like people do. Mostly younger people, recent grads and such who live Ballston or something to save money, and are all "but I can make it downtown in, like, 20 minutes man! it's great. I still go out in the city all the time! 15 minutes to Adam's Morgan"
1) His mom is awesome and his grandad seems pretty cool too!
Or you stole MY picture!
I'm sure it's a bit worse there than elsewhere (I picture some stereotypical tourists demanding a bunch of pictures in the Times Square Hard Rock Cafe or Jekyll & Hyde) but I've eaten in lots of NYC joints—both touristy & 'hipster good food' famous. And while there are definitely a lot of pictures being taken,…
True! Customers ignoring the food and their waiter because they're too absorbed in their phones is definitely a real problem and highly irritating...but this is just a really nonsensical piece of "evidence".
I would say, based on my (granted, fairly limited) experience in a semi-high-end hotel restaurant with really cool decor, that the constant instagramming and picture taking definitely adds some time to the meal.
Agreed!
Based on the headline alone, I thought Aramark was pioneering a new program to serve prepared insects as a source of protein in prisons. I actually thought it was a really interesting pioneer program (opt-in for prisoners) since bugs are really good from a nutrition perspective and also a cheaper source of protein.
How do you feel about adding a bit of relish? I make a relish-laden egg salad and potato salad but haven't ever made macaroni salad.
Seriously cool pay policy though. I wonder how many other restaurants do something similar and we just don't know about them!
This is one of the most reasonable pay policies I've seen—and damn this would've made my restaurant days 1000x less shittastic. It's the lack of knowledge about your income that's extra frustrating. Will I have enough to go to a movie with friends tomorrow? Depends on who I serve tonight. No guarantees!
It's definitely one of those biases where you only notice your own size missing. As an XS, I feel like I always encounter rack upon rack of size M and L and nary an XS in sight.
