Ill have to disagree with you there, casting voice actors of a different ethnicity than the character is not racist. Some people argue that its a form of blackface but these are voice actors, their whole craft is being able to play any voice.

I guess you’d know from bad opinions.  The post you’re trashing is 100% correct; the filmmakers stopped the movie in its tracks to wink at the audience and say “See?  We have ladies now!” rather than treating them as equally important throughout the actual film, as they should have done all along.

Man, I loved Stargate Universe (but for none of the reasons many did - I wasn’t a fan of the Stargate TV show stuff).  It was a nice throwback to classic, space colony/spaceship survival.

Honestly I would love it if the new trilogy (and subsequent trilogy) was:
Episode VII - A New Hope Remade
Episode VIII - Screw you Abrams thats dumb to remake the original trilogy, right Treveow?
Episode IX - Screw you Rion I’ve got IX now and I’m gonna do what I want.
Johnson Trilogy Vol. 1 - Screw JJ Again!

I can be just as reductive about the original trilogy as you are being about the new trilogy. But none of those are specific examples. Give something specific about the amazing world building in the original trilogy that the new one does not touch or build upon.

Maybe they should provide grief counseling to the fans after unceremoniously firing one of its most beloved creators.
