Man just imagine the licensing possibilities.

Except Solo is a quality movie. Most people seem to like it on its own merits, but it was never going to do 7, 8, 9 money. It is a lore movie that really only Star Wars fans are going to go see. Now it should have done better than Rogue One and if they had released it in August or December I think it would have.…

You have a lot of takes I usually can get behind, but trashing Solo isn’t one of them.

I think Solo is something like an inverse of the prequels.

Having seen Solo and enjoyed it more than anyt other Disney Star Wars except Rogue One - Solo failed because it was released too close to TLJ. If the movie had come out last December rather than last May, it would have done much better. And a few more months could have helped them smooth out a few things too.

I for one am stoked for a couple of years to let Sabine Wren, Cassian Andor, Doctor Aphra, The Mandalorian, and whichever other peripheral characters take center stage for a few years.

I’m gonna assume this has something to do with the fact that it’s based on a DC/Vertigo series and Disney just bought Fox.

Honestly, the trailer looks fantastic. I don‘t think that this is going to be the origin story of the Joker, but more of a mythical approach to the character. I dig it for its ballsyness and originality alone.

I’d still pick New Hope simply because we’d never seen anything like it but the reveal of the Executor was jaw dropping. What is causing the shadow on that Star Destroyer? Ooooooohhhh myyyyyy Gaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhd!

There’s no way they’re not going to save money by putting stunt performers in the costumes and having Fraser and Bomer record the dialogue in post.
