Carcerking has the right ideas in that 1) the leaks definitely took the wind out of pre-orders (hence, harm), and 2) People would have found out either way after release.

Makes sense with the amount of time, effort, and money put into designing a messaging/rollout strategy for a global media release like this. And despite the game doing bonkers numbers the leaks definitely added to a lot of confusion and ill-will throughout the community. I see harm there for sure.
