The story about the tent city, aka camps, aka concentration camps is disgusting.
She should just kill herself if she is depressed.
I worked as a manager of a theater in college when Passion of the Christ came out. It was insane, there were huge lines of people hours before we even opened (I usually had to yell at them to stop forming the line in the parking lot and move to the sidewalk). I gleefully used my limited power to turn away pastors who…
This. Even if he (and I suspect he didn’t really) felt the same need to put men at ease, it almost certainly wasn’t with sexual comments about their appearance.
The RTÉ exit poll has just been announced and it’s almost the same: 69.4% Yes with a 1.6% margin of error. I think we might have actually done this!! My feet are killing me from canvassing, my ears are ringing from the stuff that was shouted at me, my eyes are tired from crying, but I hope to sleep very well tomorrow…
It absolutely is a win for women everywhere. All round the world countries are trying to roll back our reproductive rights. If our tiny wee island, that has been in thrall to the Church for so many years, can turn around and say “ Ah look lads, this isn’t on - we need to trust women” , well it gives hope. Hope for…
The “warning signs”people try to mention are also like every emo teenager ever. Wearing a shirt with an edgy and attention-provoking message? Trench coats? Getting teased? May as well say every emo or goth kid out there is a murderer in the making. Those aren’t warning signs. Warning signs is harassing people and…
Today, I had to be at my four year old’s class and saw him run over and throw his arms around a female classmate to give her a hug. I pulled him back and said, “no physical contact, and you ASK before you hug ANYONE.”
I will say this. I was once a teenager and my parents had no freaking clue who I really was. I smoked, drank, did drugs, hung out with boys, went to raves, sneaked out of the house to go places with boys and to parties, etc, etc, etc. But I got good grades and went to a private, Catholic high school. I probably would…
I don’t remember who but someone posted on Twitter that men only get “so long” to show their son’s affection/love and mothers get their whole lives and it may me feel so sad for the men that think this way and then I read this maniac’s quotes and it made me even sadder but angry as well.
My son is still getting this from me- even on FB when he comments or “likes” a questionable meme and gets a sudden lecture from his mother. I call out his friends and even some of his relatives on their bullshit.
If you are a creepy, harassing asshole, people aren’t not nice to you because they are bullies. They are not nice to you because you are a creepy, harassing asshole.
I heard this same shit over and over and over and over and over as a tween/teen girl. From teachers, counselors, my own mother.
I hope you had a come to Jesus with the doctor and filed a complaint. And the school.
My daughter has had some trouble with her pediatrician (that we’re going to change). She’s 11 years old and has been suffering extreme anxiety and panic attacks (just like her mama...yes I feel guilty).
We also shouldn’t have to live in the world where boys are brought up believing ‘If she doesn’t want to, push harder’ and girls are arm-twisted into ‘being nice.’
Nobody can “owe” someone sex. That’s not how it works.
The people screaming “All Lives Matter” know exactly what they are doing.
