Damage is scaled waaay back. One of my characters went from 330k health to 15k, with obliterate changing from showing as 10k damage on the tooltip to 378.

I had a real bastard of a spider basically keep hunting me last night. Encountered him/her around the oak tree, died, recovered my supplies and went back to my base to recover and build up. That dude snuck up on me while in a menu and destroyed me. He did this like 2 more times!

This was nice to read, especially nice because my husband worked on this game for 2+ years, and I was able to beat it a few weeks ago in front him.
