Difficulty for Anthem: EA

I’m hoping we see the same trajectory with Anthem.

Loved the game when it came out. I didn’t buy into any of the hype people were piling on it, watched plenty of news about it, saw the interviews and all that. When it was revealed it wasn’t actually multiplayer I had no problem with that. I didn’t see it as some kind of MASTER DECEPTION(!) like so many people did.

Such a strange feeling how literal the ‘close’ of a gaming generation has become; first Reggie retiring and now Kaz. Which is unnerving because I’ve never felt so uncertain about the future of gaming. With the way the top-tier publishers are behaving it feels like we’re quite due for another crash.

Wow, the end of an era. At least now he has plenty of time to play some Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiidge Racer.

I was trying to get my wife into gaming, which isn’t usually her bag, and so I was wracking my brain to think of something fun and colorful that we could play cooperatively and then I remembered good old PSO. I think it’s the first game she’s tried that she actually enjoyed.

Man, I miss Phantasy Star Online from the Xbox 360 days.

On brand as hell but yeah. Modern Destiny more and more reminds me of a modern pso, what with its little ghost/mags and the swords and magic. 

Good. No, seriously. The only way these kinds of bullshit penny-pinching profit-seeking tactics *STOP* is if it hits the companies employing them so hard they can’t see straight for YEARS to come. And the only way that can happen is if it hits high enough up that the executives and board members feel the sting.

AGREED! The D-Pad was the first thing that stood out.  Haven’t gamers agreed that a unibody d-pad is atrocious?  R&D could have figured that out with a quick... Google.

Yup, that soundtrack will always bring back fond memories... I was really glad to hear that the Sega theme on the Nintendo 3ds has one of the songs playing in the background, dont recall which PSO song at the moment though.

The lobby music will always hold a special place in my heart. Spent hours just chatting and hanging around with friends....

Guys, Tom Happ is a super nice guy. I’ve met him a couple times at conventions, I’ve seen the documentary (very good btw) about Axiom Verge, and I’ve purchased the game six times now for various systems and as gifts because I love everything about it.

I have no clue where the data went. Used to play a ton of that game, and am perpetually perturbed that PSO2 is out on the Switch.... in Japan.
