I think he was more referring to the Indian nationalist narrative that seeks to blame all of India’s problems on colonization. It has led to some of India’s dumbest economic policies and is largely to blame for India’s current economic issues.

How dare you view this from a non-offended angle. Get with the program and GET OFFENDED ASAP.

Bravo.

Or, people are too quick these days to lash out at other people for perceived racial and cultural insensitivities.

As someone who grew up in America, but with family origins in India, I can tell you without hesitation that..

I think people are making a mistake when they think he is endorsing colonialism but he isn’t. He is talking about a specific anti-colonialism movement in India.

I agree that’s what he meant, but it certainly could have been phrased better.

He doesn’t know, he’s just jumping on the bandwagon.

I don’t see what he initially said as endorsing colonialism in any way. He was referring to what he sees in this case as India incorrectly identifying something as colonialism when it’s not, which he says has been bad for India economically — in other words, he’s saying that India has improperly prejudged Free Basics

You’ve learned an important life lesson. When people tell you verbally they value something (e.g., honesty) sometimes they don’t.

Your post is so full of evidence that it’s hard to argue with.

Let me guess: You love Cam Newton, though?

No, the original statement was a little misleading. “When the first Falcon Heavy launches later this year, it’ll be the most powerful rocket on Earth by a factor of two, capable of lifting over 53 metric tons of mass into orbit.”

It’s great to see some movement towards getting American astronauts off our rock using American spacecraft again!

Well, the remark may be “literally” correct, but the spirit of the statement is a little misleading. Technically, we do already have rockets capable of lifting more...

Whatever you do, DO NOT doubt “The Musk.” If he said it, it has to be true.

Yes, but in there are still two on earth that, in theory, could work. He talked about the strongest rocket on earth after all, didn’t he? :p

Development of the Falcon Heavy rocket is still underway. When the first Falcon Heavy launches later this year, it’ll be the most powerful rocket on Earth by a factor of two, capable of lifting over 53 metric tons of mass into orbit.

yeah, it just seems a little far-fetched. in most places, the roads can barely be maintained to just allow smooth travel, and that’s when road crews only need to make the road smooth, not deal with hundreds of miles of embedded charging cables within the road.

I’ve gotten 1099s from Google as a publisher every year for about a decade and have earned more than $150k from Adsense ads over that time, but yeah, if it makes it easier for you to continue drooling over them like some fanboy b*tch, then sure, attack me.
