horse crap. childbirth has killed women and babies for all of human history, and continues to do so today. it doesn’t stop the human race from continuing any more than it stops cows from continuing- all we need is enough viable births and adulthoods to continue to make more.

i was actually giving you the benefit oft he doubt until i realized you almost certainly meant that the cost of the pay increase would be passed along to the consumer. at which point i realized you have very, very little concept of where costs and income for the type of businesses that employ at minimum wage come from.

it’s the arms coming down half a minute after the train is gone that really brings this together

All I remember about this show is the absolutely unreal amounts of dried flowers in one episode. I think they ended up making a bonfire out of them.

I see they are sticking w the lawn gnome alien aesthetic for this one.

The lead actors killed it for me. I just couldn’t watch their horribly written, horribly acted melodrama any more. If the two of them died offscreen and we went to the supporting cast, I’d watcha gain.

I had a short stint of working in home hospice care, and had a client I was told was a vegetable but who rather clearly was not* after meeting her (just almost entirely paralyzed and extremely frail to boot). It’s bad concept artwork. Reed is shown in a contorted pose to evoke his powers, but then Sue also has a contorted pose, and is standing right next to him. It confuses the relatively subtle nod to his powers, and distracts from the relatively subtle portrayal of hers. That she is posed like that, despite her costuming
