Got the code from Coke Zero, signed up and am able to watch on my computer, but Google Play says the app is incompatible with my phone .. and it's not a low end phone by any means (Photon 4G). I then read somewhere that the Android app has to be downloaded by Mar 13? [www.ncaa.com] .. what's going on?

Can you give me an example of " something that will put the battery under load and then measure the voltage." something on Amazon or elsewhere on the web which I can purchase for less than $15?

Even if you are using incognito or private browsing, as long as you are signed into your Google Account, they will still keep your history if you have web history turned on in your Google Account settings.

@TheBobmanNH what you are saying sounds like what Android does. An app can provide its own setting for notifications, but if they don't, they use the default. So are both the same or no? I've never used an iPhone so I'm not sure about the difference.

Last week Lifehacker taught me that the iPhone can't schedule SMS messages. Now I learn that iOS notifications all use the same tone. I'm curious what else iOS can't do; I'm on Android now, but always keeping an eye on the iPhone...

Dude, this is Lifehacker.

I'm with you on that. I didn't understand that either.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I think what @Ucla74 is saying is that if you haven't rooted it, you are out of luck. If you have rooted, I'm assuming you can get the beta.

Let me clarify, Sprint Premier always only allowed you to upgrade the main line every year. The additional lines were always only eligible for upgrade ever 22 months. I've been a Sprint Premier customer since the program started on the Family Shared Everything Data 1500 plan.

Adam you say this is a touch geeky or complicated, but this is the stuff I'm not seeing as much as I used to from LH! More geekiness and complication please!

@CataclysmicVoid: yes, quite annoying. This is a problem on many (if not all) Android phones. Deleting messages doesn't help as much as deleting whole apps! Horrible. The problem has been logged here: [code.google.com] and I hope a fix comes soon!

Hopefully this fix will also address a separate Android SMS issue where incoming text messages are rejected when the phone is "low on memory" ... low being around 15MB or less. How can a SMS be rejected with even 5MB of internal memory, let alone 15MB!

FYI, when I launch Fast Web Installer on my LG Optimus with Froyo, the first thing I see is a pop-up dialog box that says my "phone model is currently not supported due to a bug in the Android operating system. We are working on a solution for this."

Unfortunately, mNote 1.0 does not use the phone's usual smart autocorrect and word choice. A few other users have reported this on the Market. This will prevent me from new data input on my phone, but at least it can still sync from the web/desktop.

The problem is you need McAfee super access to disable Access Protection and On-Access Scanner.

I don't use/see start pages anymore .. I'm on both Firefox and Chrome I set the option to open the tabs from last time. And last time I usually had the sites open that I need to remain open.

I've been using this for about two months and it's great and does the job well ... but I was curious if it works with Handcent SMS or ChompSMS .. I'm considering switching to one of these non-stock SMS apps, but the ability to backup and search is one of the considerations...

I wonder what Sprint will do with this .. they already offer free turn-by-turn navigation with their data plans on all of their devices, including the two Android devices (HTC Hero and Samsung Moment). #android
