Dumb headline. Are these good vehicles... no. Did the people that bought them likely pay thousands less (or many thousands less) than legitimate competition... yes. A new vehicle, new warranty, and given away for peanuts? There will always be buyers for that.

I worked for a guy who owned three of these. This was in 2016. Then again, he also had suits that looked like they were straight out of 1984, but still.

No matter the badge or the rarity, this isn’t really a Grand National, and we all know it. I saw an actual Grand National two days ago, looked absolutely beat to hell... and it’d still be worth at least double this turd. This might be worth $1,500. 1 of 113 doesn’t make it valuable when it was worthless to begin with.

In my neck of the woods (Kansas City), a number of people throw the hardtop on for the winter. But I tend to agree with you, when we do get that unusually warm day in December, I’d rather just push a button to enjoy the day!

ND for any Element, ever. This is my own take, but a battle I’ll take anyday: The Element is just an Aztek with an H on the hood. Practical, useful, and UGLY as sin. The only reason it sold better is because of that H.

My first thought is that Vegas is a perfect fit for F1. Now that I’ve gotten that incredibly deep take out of the way... I have nothing more to add. You are welcome.

It seems expensive to me as well, which is why I legitimately was asking. Partly it still shocks me as to how high the average transaction has gotten. I would hope the interior is much nicer, but haven’t been in Polestar.

Now this is just dumb. First off, my car in high school had 80 hp, so trust me when I say I know what slow is. Second, if you think this Polestar drives like a 1980's ford ranger, holy crap... find a new website to troll. But I guess you got to use the “tell me you haven’t” line that you must have just made up yourself

I didn’t realize the Bolt was listed as that quick, thanks!

I would argue that with electric drive, it doesn’t feel slow, at least not around town. My brother has a Bolt, and it’s slower than this, but in typical city driving it feels quick. However, I will completely agree with you that if you aren’t going to offer (and market) the “cake and eat it to” point, it needs to be

I feel like too many of us here have not been used car shopping in the past year. Having just done that dance myself, this price is totally reasonable for what looks like a truck in very good shape. Sure, the layout isn’t the most useful, but this is just what trucks cost now. NP from me.

It’s a great deal, IF an inspection checks out. Obviously the wheels have to go, but it’s a very low asking price for this ride otherwise.

Reasonable take here. I agree the wheels are atrocious and I’m not sure a wing could look worse on a car than it does here... so a PPI is absolutely necessary. However, if it all checks out, this is a very good price for the car, (once you replace the crap on it).

It was a NP from me right up until Rob mentioned he barely drove it and the seller’s reason for selling. “lost interest in driving the car...” immediately after the build tells me driving this is about as easy as herding cats. The “needs tinkering” is a red flag too. It’s interesting and looks like a solid build, but

Really nice car, and appears in good shape. Just too high asking price.

So it’s like a monorail in Springfield?

I believe they are getting away from a couple packages and plenty of options to pick from to just a set number of packages. This way you don’t option your car anymore, just pick the package and go. This gives Mazda 9 versions to build as opposed to 3 versions with 126 variations.

10 to 15 MPG better? So you expect us to believe that had Subaru just used a different setting, they could have advertised this to us with a combined rating around 32 or so? Better than any car in the segment... and they simply chose not to? Oh, and they don’t advertise this magic setting in any ads?!?! Damn... they

So GM, Ford and Dodge print money with trucks like this, but Toyota should just skip the segment?

I have a 2012 Golf R, and the only thing that hurts it’s mileage is the gearing is pretty low, well that and my right foot. So 75 on the interstate doesn’t do it any favors. Otherwise, in my own experience yes, it is easy to beat the published numbers. (If I actually wanted to... which i rarely do)
