I am shocked that I didn’t know this. I study the topic of abortion in the US. I thought the Hyde Amendment made it impossible to claim abortion expenses on a Federal return. Sort of helps prove that the Hyde Amendment has to go. It is both foolish and harmful.

I am so, so sorry. I’m sure living in this kind of limbo/the stress is disastrous for your health. It’s terrible and goes beyond the abuse. Again, I’m sorry and I hope it doesn’t drag on.
I was in my third year of working for a landscaping company and my supervisor told me that he put me in for a $1/hour raise. That would have bumped me up to $9/hour (my first raise ever with them!), but when the boss responded, he only gave me 25 cents.
It’s really simple, unless you work for an entity/business that trumpets to the heavens that they offer equal pay for equal work, they don’t.

Still, when you are undocumented or if you have a non resident visa, you can not apply for anything, for people like us there are not social services, not victim services, not help at all, it just adds to the burden.
