I am a VW mechanic, in that I own 2 VR6 powered vw’s and keep them on the road myself, so I’m well aware of the tolerances. They usually throw a CEL when it’s time to do the deed. The shitty part is the chains are on the same side as the transmission, so that has to come out first.
