The ingress and egress of CUVs and SUVs is important because Americans are incredibly fat.

Thing is, compact wagons have about as much room as compact CUVs - sometimes MORE room - while getting better mileage.

Can confirm, I’m 20 and I grew up in the back of a crossover. I hate them with a burning passion. Wagons are the patrician’s choice.

I had 2 friends last year excitedly call me about their new Jeeps.
One bought a compass.
One bought a patriot.
