Oh my goodness that would be beyond fantastic
If anyone needs a place to check out, see asos.com. My bridesmaids (and some of the guests!) got their dresses there at really good prices. They also have the same type of dress in three lengths, so that is great.
That’s fine. We did the same thing as you - I didn’t even know what a shower was until my mom’s friend threw one for me! There was no bouquet toss, a drunken garter belt throw (groomsman who caught it just wore it for the rest of the night), and we just had fun. Toasts are better short, but be prepared that there may…
Not my proudest moment but I was dumped in a really heartless way by a guy who I dated in college. The next day I went to the ex’s college and was let in by his room mate, who promptly left. After a heated call with said ex in which he said in no uncertain terms that he did not want to see me, I tore down some things…
Or the guy who constantly -CONSTANTLY- asked us what our registry was and never got us anything. He was technologically savvy and wealthy so I don’t know what his excuse is. It’s fine if you don’t want to get us a gift, just then don’t ask so much about what our registry is?
Yup - don’t stress about it too much! I had some friends get me an absolutely fantastic wedding piñata filled with condoms and stuff. Loved it - and I did not register for it!!!
Oh it is fantastic - check out the site. Merchant's House Museum
Oooo also Merchant’s House Museum is amazing... and usually overlooked!
Yes! Hudson, Rhinebeck, Tivoli, Saugerties, Pine Plains, etc. all are awesome places!
Normal tourism or drinking spots? If you come to NYC I highly recommend going to the Brooklyn Museum. It is not as crazy full as the other more famous places in the city and has fantastic exhibitions ranging from feminist art to old interiors of townhouses to paintings from the Cuzco school of art. Brooklyn Botanical…
It depends on where you are and what you want to experience. I love going to the Bronx or Brooklyn Botanical Garden (okay not drinking, but definitely a good place to find your inner peace). For drinking and enjoying a good book, I’d say Anfora in Chelsea is pretty chill. The husband (we just got married, feels weird…
Well, grub hub refused to acknowledge that my actual address was real, effectively rendering ordering impossible. So, yeah, I prefer delivery.com or seamless.
Not just you... I feel it, too. It is great to see so many new writers on Jezebel and Gawker, but I miss the writing styles of the oldies. They were less judgmental, more inquisitive, generally employed less shock value. Maybe I am just waxing nostalgic, but it just feels ... different.
Yes ma'am!
Small world - I think I know your husband from our college days! Beautiful pictures, beautiful couple! You guys looked amazing.
yup, which is why I do not look at wedding forums!
My dad! Who today sent me an email regarding my wedding that will happen in a couple of months. His wife is not invited because she was the reason that my parents are no longer married. The wedding is also happening in my mother's house, so I would prefer that the two do not meet under those circumstances.
She looked like she was in an parody. No blinking, just looking at the camera, lego man hair, big wide eyes. Woman in commercial selling you on antidepressant sleep aids voice.
She also looked and acted like she was in an SNL parody. It was weird.
