I really like it too(Not as much as Mrs Stump). I’m starting to see it as a sort of anime-pastiche of Star Trek, in the same way Pacific Rim was a similar pastiche of the Kaiju genre(Might not be a genre, maybe just “films with fighting a kaiju in it”).
