You’re both right - he is both not as funny as he thinks he is and is eminently off-putting, and deploys that as a strategic weapon for comedy - esp in those two shows. In places where he doesn’t get to set expectations, he’s less funny, which has meant that as more people hear “he’s a funny person”, we naturally…

I feel like that would have to be the title of Kevin Clash’ next Netflix documentary, where he dishes the dirt to get back into our hearts.

Practically since the beginning Mrs Stump started calling this show “Fuckups From The Future” and now our shorthand for asking each other if we want to record the show is “Fuckups?”. I sent the letter to CW but as you’ve seen they’ve not changed the name yet.

Can anyone offer context on how “big” Sonic is in Japan today? Just wondering if the thing looks crap because there’s no money behind it/no demand. Or maybe Hooters just lowers expectations by physical proximity.
