Hey Mike. I understand your conumdrum, and agree on a few points. But it WAS a German Company (BMW) who stepped up to take MINI on in the first place back in 1996, thanks to BMW’s Jack Pitney. Had that NOT happened, FORD ( Jaguar) would have held the rights to manufacture MINI. Would you be happier had Jaguar built…

70's had no seat belts as kids, we flopped around between way way back trunk area and back seat while trucking down the road in the Chevy wagon at 75 mph.....IMO we as a people take took many “Precautions” legislating ourselves to the point of no more freedoms.
