I’ll assume you’re talking about me. lol It’s funny because it’s not even because I’m a big fan of his that I got so involved in the story. I would say I like about half the movies he’s directed over the years. What drew me in was more what caused his firing to begin with. I’ve had huge issues with Cernovich and his

Yeah... except he already apologized and owned up to his mistakes years ago, which is why the Disney firing was so stupid.

I appreciate Gunn’s candor here, but I hope DISNEY has also learned some lessons from this experience.

The best part of this...

Gotta love the people rushing in to tell us this is what we wanted. No, we had what we wanted and then foolish media companies thought they could do better.

Netflix still is the gold standard for streaming. Their apps work. They make it easy to find content. Episode content will play the next episode automatically, and

NNetflix became hugely popular and made lots of money because it was relatively cheap and had oodles of content. Then everyone else saw how much money they were making and wanted to get in on it.

I’d have absolutely no need for this, or even a place where it could be proudly displayed ... but I want this SO bad.

I have my moments.

Ugh. 50 years after The Flintstones and we’re still perpetuating the myth that humans and non-avian dinosaurs lived together rather than 64 million years apart. Can’t we try something new? I’d like to see some love extended to some of the other extinct life forms from prehistory, the ones that are always ignored by

Comics Bullshit

At least he can go to the bathroom in it.

I don’t particularly blame him, but I’m absolutely disappointed that such an enthralling work of fiction will never be finished.

I know it is not true, McElhinneyis more than likely just repeating the absurd rumours that have been going around the web for a while.

But damn if I don’t wish for them to be true, it would be the only way we will ever get “A Dream of Spring”.
There is still a small chance we will get “Winds of Winter” eventually, but

As someone who has a career in bookselling and publishing, let me tell you- the publishers sitting on two automatic bestsellers is extremely unlikely. Especially when you factor in people losing interest in the books when the tv series is completed- don’t argue that, it is inevitable. More people like tv than books.

He’s been generating plenty of money for his publisher in the meantime.  He’s released multiple books that include stories, maps, histories, etc that tie into ASOIAF

Ya what a non-reason for an answer. The show is clearly much more lucrative at this point and it makes total sense to delay the books to maximize the impact/profit.

The worst part, for me, is that some of the books (A Feast for Crows specifically, and to a lesser extent A Dance with Dragons) were a slog to get through and I haven’t actually read them a second time. The show has become more prevalent in mind as the true narrative even though I know that to not be the case.

First thoughts: this is a fake rumour.

As to why his publisher would agree to that deal, thats easy MONEY! Both HBO and the publishers stand to make way more money if the books come out after the show is finished. It’s a valid theory on what could have been delaying the books, even if in the end it turns out to be false.

Avengers: Age of Ultron introduced the deeply troubling, reductive idea that Black Widow saw herself as a monster because of the Red Room procedure that rendered her sterile (though some debate this).
