If you begin a sentence with ‘I hope this doesn’t offend you’, then you probably shouldn’t keep going. I didn’t think this needed to be explained, yet here we are.

I hope this doesn’t offend you: you’re fired.’

He wasn’t expecting any response from her because he knows the dummy number goes inactive as soon as he closes out the delivery. He did it because he could and it gave him a momentary feeling of power.

That’s my thing, if these crossbows were all all reasonable, just build a big fucking wooden wall on wheels and put your dragon behind it, roll it up to the city wall, dragon MELTS THE FUCKING WALL. and your in.

I have posted since last season’s episode (the Spoils of War) that essentially they made dragons a non-entity at that point. Meaning that there was no longer any guaranteed advantage having a dragon would give, rather it was just another relatively easy to kill character should the writers choose to kill one.

As if people haven’t been booing entertainment since the damn Coliseum.

::Hates the show. Keeps watching and typing out novels about it::

Hmm. It’s almost like they’re a metaphor for Daenerys’s hubris or something.

The level of annoying coincidences just continues to grow. Apparently the ships were able to hide from not only the fleet, but also the dragons soaring a few hundred feet above? And not only where they able to hide, but then they were able to swing around the coast, aim their magic crossbows that don’t lose speed and

The complete lack of tactics (and laws of physics, but it’s a “magic” show) in that scene was mind-numbing. I mean - come on - fly in a wide arc behind the ships so their weapons aren’t pointing at you, they can’t turn fast enough, burn the fleet. Also -”get on a skiff” was apparently the worst advice ever?

Those bolts are perhaps the laziest addition to date. The amount of energy it would take to fling something like those giant bolts that far, that fast, would be insane. The bolt thrower would explode way before that much tension was created.

“While the Targaryen family might have been able to solidify their grip on power with the help of dragons back in the day, the key differences to bear in mind here are that at their height, Dany’s ancestors were in control of far more of the creatures and were much more familiar with dragon-based war strategies.”

I saw this as an indication that technology was gradually improving in the post-dragon era. You can see this with Qyburn, who’s basically a mad scientist, using applied knowledge to create Darth Gregor and blow up Baelor’s Sept.

I haven’t been this angry at the series since Sansa’s wedding night in Season 5. They took all the goodwill they had built up over the last few episodes and flushed it down the toilet in the span of an hour, beginning with Dany getting ignored by pretty much everyone for Jon. I’ll power through the last two episodes,

I have complicated feelings on this whole thing. I agree that we should vote with our dollars and choosing not to support a business that publicly contributes to causes that are counter to your values is a valid and valuable form of protest. My concern though comes down to the singling-out and virtue signalling of

Nothing that closes on Sundays should be allowed in an airport.
