I am pretty sure this is NEVER going to happen unless its just a glorified golf cart. You can’t even buy a Mirage for that money anymore.

Yeah, I want it to work more like a a normal paddle shift gas car where the regen change is on the fly like down shifting. Even some “rev matching” sound to go with it would be cool to so you can audibly tell how much regen you are getting.

Ok, I can see the paddles being useful in an electric car but ONLY for controlling the regen braking force going into a corner. I think it would be really useful to have different levels of regen that amplify with each pull of the paddle like if you were down shifting a manual or auto car, but it should reset on the

Tools for sure because actual car parts are hard to buy even if you own and know the car sometimes, let alone someone who doesn’t.

I have tried probably 7-8 adapters this past year from low end to high end and none of them work well, at least not in my 2017 Ridgeline. They either freeze up, or don’t auto connect, or require rebooting several times per trip. I gave up because what I realized is they are all basically the same, maybe 2 or 3

This is a totally different discussion. We are talking about over the air updates, not preinstalled features you pay to unlock.

I could see that I guess, but again, you are still limited to the existing hardware, so they can only do so much, mostly bug fixes. I wish I could download a wireless car play update to my car instead of having to plug my phone in, but that’s totally different hardware.

Such as? And I don’t want to hear the doors open and play TSO either

What exactly are they going to be doing? You can’t download new hardware, so it seems like whatever they come up with will just be gimmicky to fit what is already in your car. Maybe you can unlock a power boost like in some EV’s, but what else can you do other than make fart sounds out of the speakers?

I actually went from the ‘98 Z24 to a 2001 SE-R SpecV Sentra, quite a nice upgrade and THAT car I do miss a lot. Should have kept it and VQ swapped it!

Honestly, the z24 cavalier isn’t so bad. It’s the base models with the 100hp and crank windows you really want to hate. My first car was a 1998 z24 and it was actually a lot of fun and reliable. 150HP is just enough for a teen in a small car.

it moves like 1mph, maybe less, when you don’t hold the brake, like a an automatic gas car would. Kinda useful if you are just inching into a parking spot or something and don’t want to risk giving it the beans and crashing into a wall. There is a Porsche Taycan video out there where they did exactly that and launched

WTF!? It’s not bad enough to make a fake manual in an EV? Now you are adding a fake automatic? Who on earth are you catering to? This is something a 7 year old would want in their Little Tikes Jeep to make it feel like mommy and daddy’s car, not something a grown adult should option on their car. How dumb.

Most likely will be from Manny Khoshbin’s garage if I had to guess. I would put money on him getting one.

Can’t wait for the Doug review on this

I bought a refurb macbook many years ago and it actually came with better specs than the listing on Apple’s website! It was a custom order someone returned, so it had twice the SSD size and a couple extra GB of memory. Maybe that was a fluke, but if you are buying something refurb anyway, hey, maybe you will also find

How did the Ford Coyote 5.0 not make this list?

Well, it gets 28MPG highway and hauls a couch and your mom all the same

I guess I can brag at the bar I own the most American cars because I have a 2015 Mustang GT with a manual(pre Mexico) and a 2017 Honda Ridgeline.

This I agree with, the $1200 a year for the MB power upgrade is just insane. I buy my mods one time, not every year, so I am not doing it with an EV.
