With each trailer I'm more and more on board. I just hope WB learned their lesson with BvS and stop there with the trailers. But it looks like everything I would hope that movie would be like. Cautious thumbs up.

In the picture at the top Strand's like "This white woman is gonna be the death of me…" Seriously though, why did no one take that radio away from Alicia after she admitted to basically giving away everything about the boat? Would she have told some dude she just met online where she lived after talking for a few

If that's your answer, than 1.) How did he hear Lois in Africa, or falling off that building, or drowning? 2.) Wouldn't have that been a good moment to call back to your own movie (MOS) where Superman is in the janitors closet with his mom and she tells him to shut everything else out and focus on her?

I think he still does music, but maybe not full time. I'm not really sure. I'd be curious to know how much control over things he has, or if it's more of them using his name to build a brand. He's definitely got his hands full with two books plus whatever else he's doing on the side. And they also put together an

Yeah, I'm always cautious when I hear someone described as "like Grant Morrison" or "like Alan Moore" just because they're such singular figures and most people who try and emulate them end up doing just weird and very wordy prose with no story or character development. I really like Ales Kot, who for me is the

I definitely think you benefit from mixing the old with the new. Morrison just kept throwing weirder and weirder characters out there. As long as Cliff is around, because it just doesn't feel like Doom Patrol without him.

Hulu Plus actually gives you access to basically the entire Criterion Collection which is pretty awesome!

We'll I'm hopeful that starts to trend back to the Vertigo days. This latest run was a decent start, but I'd love if they'd let this new team go a little darker.

Yeah, at first I was confused why this wasn't Vertigo, but I guess they just want to make a clear separation, which I understand. Vertigo is now a place for, I guess more indie books to compete with Image, and this will be for their more out-there titles. I wonder what this means for Animal Man and Swamp Thing? And

Since there's plenty of other comic discussions going on in this thread and this is slightly related, what do people think about Gerad Way getting his own DC imprint and doing a Doom Patrol reboot, amongst other things? It seems very much in the spirit of Morrison's run, although I've never read Way's stuff before. He

I'm kind of hoping these "Barry needs to learn from X" episodes become few and far between. You would think by now he would be able to start figuring out certain things on his own. Not only is everyone faster than him, but they also seem to be more creative/intuitive with the powers than him. I know there's drama to

Tim Hortons is worth fighting off a group of walkers.

Right, like Canada is probably fine, and still has great healthcare. But I'd also imagine after all this time someone must have some kind of lead on what caused this, even if it's small.

I was hoping this is where they where going with all the CDC stuff. It's just interesting that they haven't tried to see if there's still some kind of government in place somewhere. Or if there is any hope for a cure. Or if this is a worldwide epidemic or just happening in America. This show is going to have to have

Yeah, FTWD feels kind of pointless. It's just another (less competent and likeable) group trying to survive. I had hoped it would be more like you say, an anthology of the early days showing different people's stories, from the President down to the bike lady. It just feels like there's so much good stuff to mine

Right. In the comics it was a tight story. Rick and the Saviors had a few run ins with Rick getting the upper hand and getting cocky only for everything to fall apart in an instant. I think it was only 4 issues, 5 at most. With the show dragging it out so long it almost feels like too little too late.

Kirkman was on the after show last night and was saying that they could have done the same show, started with Negan at the onset of the outbreak, him gathering a group and when you got this point with Rick, you'd be like who's this asshole? Negan is a hero in his mind and he realized early on that the only way to get

It's really sad they had to cut the legs from Negan immediately because he could be the thing to breathe some life back into this show. Instead, people are going to view him as Governor lite at best and at worst just ignore him and focus on that cliffhanger.

I get what you're saying, but again, even in helping the people who worked for him, he saved like 2. It's not like he was already in Metropolis, he saw what was happening and flew in on a helicopter. As Batman I feel like he could have saved more just with all his resources, just getting people out of harms way. And

Maybe in this movie, but for me that just flies in the face of everything I know about the character. He may be more cynical and ruthless than other heroes, but he's not a heartless monster that could just sit by and witness a massive loss of human life right across the water. The fact that he felt compelled at all
