One of the better ideas I’ve seen down here in geezer-ville south Florida is that they extend lane markers with dotted lines to show the correct lane for making left turns. It makes it so easy to see how to make left turns properly.

Reminded me of the time my brother saw the oil light go on in the car he drove but I owned. He decided it was so important he sped home so I could take a look at the problem.

$4 grand is cheap, but I never warmed up to the Firebird’s lumpy styling. There are the expected little problems of a used car scattered inside that tumorous body and dash. And since I live in sweaty south Florida, I’d be automatically adding $1-2K to that price to immediately fix whatever ails the A/C. Plus whatever

But both of those vehicles had significantly more frontal area. The first-gen Insight is a tiny car.

How about not considering the consequences of sending nudes to someone you don’t even know? I mean, catfishing has existed even longer than the internet ...

I’ve got a couple of farmer/drag racer buddies who swear by the power they make from E85 ... and swear at the mileage they get from it. It takes redoing the entire fuel delivery system to get the most benefit, but they’re very happy with what they get for results.

That gets you, like, 35 miles to the next E85 station.

Just the thing when you need to get to the Golden Corral right fuckin’ now!

By title, I stand corrected. That’s absolutely right.

Ding! Ding! Ding!

So what’s the terminal speed between running laps and face-planting on this drive-through barrel?

If Apple could get SharePlay to work half as well as Windows’ Quick Assist for remote support, I’d be on it like mustard on a hot dog. Its current use, to share my music with friends who can hook up to music all by themselves without SharePlay? Not so much.

I thought I’d do some back of the envelope calculations on the 2024 season so far and see how that works out ...

Update: That didn’t last long — got Cyberstruck this morning. It may be oddly-shaped, but it’s as big as a new F-150 4x4. And dingy.

Haven’t really thought about it, but I believe I’m still in the game.

Nonetheless, I feel the point stands. And the punchline wrote itself.
