Rey in a hall of infinite reflections and Vader with Luke's face in Yoda's cave are a good start.

I want more of this Aunt May so much. The fact that 1) she knows 2) she helps 3) in a high tech way was just a combination that clicked with me so much.
Was Inifinty War good, or just big?
Or maybe they don’t entertain some people? Namely the people who vote in these lists?
Which is, I think, why the throne is attractive to him. The prospect of not being monumentally important is terrifying to him. I don’t read the decision to kill Snoke as a bid for the throne, as some have - I think it’s what he has to do to not have to kill Rey. He doesn’t think about what he’s going to do after…
IS Snoke actually presented as mysterious? We see him in giant holograms and fancy robes and an ostentatious throne room. None of the characters really have any questions about him, implying that they seem to know his deal. It’s just not information that’s necessary for the audience at any point.
Yeah, this movie really doesn’t work unless Snoke gives a twenty minute powerpoint presentation about his origins and plans. And while we’re at it, we should really re-edit Return of the Jedi so each individual Ewok gets a flashback explaining his childhood.
I felt that was a strong scene, he was screwing around, sure, but it was showing how much he had settled into his life of being forgotten, the great hero was happy being nobody, being freed from destiny. it was selfish, but at the same time, it was his choice to make, and the rebellion was trying to drag him back to…
It’s a really interesting departure from Anakin’s appeal to Luke in Cloud City.
What really struck me was the way Kylo said “please”. From reading the script it could be interpreted in many different ways, but Driver really let the desperation come through the way he said it. He doesn’t just want her by his side, he needs her. He’s insecure about his place and his power, just as she is.
Palpatine gets almost no characterization on screen either in the OT. We get almost nothing on screen about Palpatine until the PT. Snoke and Palpatine exist to be overcome. I don’t mind them being mysterious boogeymen.
I think you are completely right, but I also think that Rey was imposing her own perspective on Kylo at first, too.
how many times did this page crash for you before the comment section became available?
After the brouhaha, I watched it again to see if my initial take on it was still accurate minus all the fandom hyperventilation. It actually moved up the ranks. It’s my second favorite Star Wars movie. It’s a really, really good film.
Mostly exhausted at all of the entitled, “childhood ruined” whining.
Debates still come up here and there, but other than correctly clear misinterpretation or outright BS about the movie, I’ve mostly resorted to eye rolls at this point.
Trying to actually debate the movie with most people trashing it is a whole lot like…
Star Wars is dead. People like Germain won’t realize it til next year, but it died December 15th, 2017.
I am.
I am.
The amount of incidental dialogue in this game that is never heard by most players has to be insane. So many weird little vignettes you can stumble upon in camp with those characters. Also Abigail rules.
