Having the government siphon tax-payer dollars into higher education does not make a better education system or improve society. Take the modern idea of allowing offering everyone a "free" 2 year degree. First of all, it's not "free," just subsidized by tax-payer money. Second, when EVERYONE can have a 2 year

Underfunding in the US has more to do with college management and facilitators than politicians. That $100k per year tuition isn’t getting into the teacher’s pockets nor the curriculum. Also, not everyone who skips college becomes a criminal... I'd wager that MOST people who don't go to college don't become criminals.

It funny how many people STILL think that they are entitled to a job when they're holding any of the following degrees: Business, Liberal Arts, Music, Sociology, Psychology, Computer Science, Underwater Basket Weaving.

There's no "free." That California education is just as much a money making scam as other colleges. The difference is that the money comes straight out of your paycheck (not by choice) instead of your wallet (by choice).

College is expensive because the "high education" industry thrives on exclusivity and the old idea that you NEED college to make it in life. Sure, some professions benefit from having a higher education school system but not all. Take computer programming or network development for example. A motivated person is

Ban knives. We need knife control action NOW!

“Flesh of Christ” is an oddly-specific color. I've never seen that in a Crayola box.

“creationist nonsense.” How very tolerant and accepting of you; coming from the party of progress... OH! You mean progress in all things, just so long as it’s not Christianity. PS, I’m not a Christian, Republican, or Democrat.

I was going to post something like this. Thank you for summing it up wonderfully.

Sounds right. “I don’t like something, so let’s use an improvised weapon to destroy it.” I’m no supporter of the confederate flag but I don’t advocate violently destroying other peoples’ property

So, you dislike their video but then advertise it here for free with a full article on a commonly-trafficked news website? Did OK Go, come out supporting Trump or something?

This. Plus the article is click bait for the words “rice” and “wheat.”

I could make a better fake space picture in MS Paint. It literally looks like the pre-Windows 7 paint program’s airbrush tool.

The people who want self-driving cars so bad are today's text-and-drive asshats.

To make the 2.0L TDI compliant without cutting Performance, VW would have to bolt in a urea injection system. This would include cutting into the cabin area to place a big piss tank. None of that is acceptable.

This. I don't see pleather TDI seats becoming available at your local pick-n-pull as many commenters above have suggested.

Soooo, if VW must crush all of the cars, what difference does it make if my TDI has a dent and 20k miles over the average? Was the chart created to appease owners into feeling good about the money they receive vs. other owners? Like a 2009 owner not getting as much as a 2015 owner?

I think the bigger concern is that the environment already paid a price for half a million vehicles to be created and with their pending destruction it will all be for naught.

Even a 50 BMG cartridge wouldn't cause as much damage as, say, a 10 lb rock dropped from an overpass. You're calling the guy above you a moron for pointing out facts and then you reply with junk science. Yeah it takes more energy to throw a bigger rock but your argument falls flat when he/she is simply dropping them
