Thats kind of how I feel about the DJI Spark drone I bought for $400... used it a couple of times here and there but the range isnt great and the neighbors hate it so it sits in the closet most of the time now

I used to do that in the olden days (100-200GB mechanical drives, etc) but now I have all my data folders regularly (and automatically) backed up on my NAS and AWS. It takes literally 5 minutes to copy them back to my SSD.

I know a guy at work (developer) who bought a set for $1000 on ebay.... he made a few million with Bitcoin back in the day and drives a Tesla P100D so I dont think he cares that he shat away a few bucks.

The problem a lot of times is the actual employees. I see this is normal offices (not just hospitals) but a desk employee will have a waste bin, a recycle bin, AND a shredding bin. Any sensitive materials should go in the shredding bin but many are too lazy and just toss documents along with their lunch wrapper…

The way these $10,000+ devices usually work is that you are also paying for a license (ie 1 month, 1 year, etc) that gives you guaranteed updates.

This makes me wish a for a new Outpost sequel... there are parts of that game that need a modern overhaul and the official sequel was too focused on combat.

The job qualifications of 80% of the workforce is basically saying “yes sir/mam” and checking emails.

Also Minecraft... easier to give a kid an ipad or xbox one s and minecraft and have essentially unlimited legos. Not saying thats what parents should do but I am seeing a lot of it happening.
