Bonds was better, and Bonds is the only guy from that era I'd rate higher on the BAMF scale. I'm going to throw my biased 2 cents in and pretend that Vlad was also the #2 player of that era.

I don't want to give too much away. But let's just say that none of the people you named qualify as the biggest culprit(s) in my view. Like I said, lots of nuance here — it's easier and more satisfying to pin it on Loria or Selig, but they were largely symptoms, not causes.
