The thing I think works about this, and I’ve only read the main WOTR comics not the others, I’ll wait for collected editions for that, is that it wasn’t dragged on and on like some of these things, it didn’t “reboot” or “reset” the timeline. It was a major event that touched the whole Marvel universe: the invasion of

I wished that I had started WHEEL OF TIME in HS. THE EYE OF THE WORLD came out my senior year of high school and somehow I missed it.

THE VENTURE BROTHERS or RICK & MORTY for sure. And I agree with the chorus of AtLAs.

2005: The Adobe Reader (HA!) download of A FEAST FOR CROWS....that I can’t find!

No joke, these have been amazing. There hasn’t been a bad one yet.

JEDI gets a bum rap. It gave us the best space battle until ROGUE ONE, the batshit crazy rescue was some good, old fashioned action and the land battle was “meh” but it worked.

I absolutely love that they made Vader’s saber all crackly like Kylo Ren’s. It’s just terrific.

And the flood of “too talls” begins. Stop. Let it go. You are what’s wrong with fandom. (I have no idea why or how this became a the hill I wanna die on, but it has.)

A hot take is intended to evoke a reaction....and this evokes a white hot reaction to me. To the positive. I would be all in, take my money, somebody get Netflix or Amazong on the phone right now.

This my friends is not lukewarm at all...it’s a hot take...like Africa hot. (See if you get that obscure reference!) Those books are frickin’ amazing.

Nedry’s death scene! To this day I still will say, “Heh, that’s nice, gotta go.” and “I’ m gonna run you over when I come back down here.”

SO you’re saying he’s been fast tracked to join Trump’s staff?

I want a five part miniseries about the Battle of Hoth done entirely this way.

I’m not going to lie. Without a doubt, I am going to cry the first time I see the Falcon. Real, honest-to-goodness, just like I did the first time I saw my wife walk down the aisle and held both my kids after they were born cry.

I mean it’s pretty obvious they were going to do the Targaryens....but I swear, one better be Robert’s Rebellion.

We’re still about ten years away from the flood of Khalessis and Aryas.

Look, I know we’ve been set up since day one about the threat of the White Walkers, but all the marketing up to this season has focused on “For the Throne.” It makes a degree of sense that the real conflict all along was the war for the throne.

And doesn’t the death of the Night King kind of negate the winter or is

I’m in the middle of reading the DRIZZT books. I reread the original trilogy and I’m on the second now. (I haven’t done the prequels and don’t know if I’m going to.) They’re better than I was expecting. Predictable and tropey, but enjoyable and fun. However, reading this it kinda feels like we’re beating a dead horse

I know. I loved the series. It wasn’t a perfect comparison but there seemed to be some parallels. (Also the “Gone” novel series and the aforementioned LOTF, so I guess I didn’t have a point.)

Isn’t this sort of like James Tynion’s The Woods. Or is this the beginning of the LOTF knock-off wave. ::trudges off to start work in his LOTF knock-off::

I know this is an old post, but just SEEING the picture of “Iroh’s Tale” has dust in my eyes. Jesus. This was such a good show.

Sorry dude, the original JP holds up so well. I show it every year as part of my FRANKENSTEIN unit in school and my students are always riveted by it.
