It definitely sounds more interesting than following the Skywalker lineage up and down unto the Nth generation. :)

One of the best things the MCU did was assume that they had to sell every single character to an audience who had never heard of them, and worked to figure out how to do that, rather than assuming hardcore geeks would do the work for them.

Would you prefer to cut off your left arm, or not?

😂😂😂

Why bother with scissors? Just get some stones for that glove and you’re in business.

Brimstone is a sulphur compound that smells like, for a comparison, the toilet after Trump gets done with it. You do not want to be throwing that around the cookout.

Yeah, it used to be ridiculous for a long time. Basically the studios were forcing a large portion of their own risk onto the theaters. If a movie bombed and/or had no legs the theaters could quite literally make no money or take a loss from showing the movie. It was a broken system.

That’s actually not the case anymore and hasn’t been for quite a while. That practice helped to drive some big theater chains into bankruptcy so they changed it. That’s why it was such a big deal that Disney was been strong arming theaters into giving them 65% of the opening weekend of The Last Jedi and Infinity War.

I’m guessing it’s a weird sex thing. Everything’s a weird sex thing.

I thought the sliding scale was still used too, but this article from a few years ago says it fell out of fashion after some theatre chains went bankrupt.

I’ve been reading all the Brexit news I can find on The Guardian. Yours is the best explanation I’ve read yet.

The MCU had the benefit of not having the X-men, Fantastic 4, and Spiderman to start off, I think even with Kevin Feige at the helm the MCU would of looked so much different if Marvel had all their characters in the fold, probably to its detriment.

lol why this doesn’t have any stars. best comment.

but tumblr has a porn problem...

I never really got upset about it. I actually get more upset that people get upset about it, if that makes any sense. Like when we (same “we” you used) says “you told me Spiderman was dead and never coming back. You lied!” Well, of course they did. I’m more rolling my eyes at the whole situation.

I learned it from you, dad!  I learned it from you!

Just re-watched it last night. The density of in-jokes and references and pure LEGO joy in the background is infectious. I love it. Can’t wait for the sequel.

So what are the statutes of limitations on being a dickweed? As far as I can tell, this is the first professional/financial repercussions for KH’s idiotic “jokes” other than taking some guff and “addressing” it sometime in the past. (And where is the evidence of his having done this “addressing?”) I bet a dollar he
