Exit stage left. Enjoy a well earned retirement. Leave the spotlight for those that have the burning desire and something to prove. Loved the show when it was on and l love it even more as a re run. Generational television is a rare thing. Seinfeld never ‘jumped the shark’ and the ensemble cast went out at the top of

Agreed, he’s wealthy enough that he can do CCC and just delete the final product. But you have a valid point.....he’s probably trying to balance how much fun he would have vs how much of a pain in the ass it is to deal with the whole production.

I get the impression that he’s probably wealthy enough at this point to where when he says he works on stuff that interests him (and that he can get funded), I’m inclined to believe him.

If I remember correctly, Seinfeld tells him “don’t worry” to which Rock responds “nope, I’m still black.”

Yeah I don't think that's really the main reason he was so upset about Obama being featured!

In addition to what many other commenters have given as their favorite and regardless of the viewers politics, I found the Obama ep to be one of the most engaging. Not enough time was spent on the Vette but that’s because they didn’t really drive anywhere.

I used to watch JLG, for the great cars featured. It was worth it even though you had to listen to Leno tell a joke every once in a while.

Jay Leno’s garage shoots way better than CCGC imho. I’m not a fan of Jay Leno’s comedy but he does JLG better than his Tonight Show. He’s very knowledgeable and can be annoying sometimes but it has some very great cars.

Yeah, the ones with better guests really need more run time to breathe. But a lot of the guests were mediocre or poor and it was nice when they were short.

Once Lavazza took over, the production got to be too much of a....production....product placement....etc. I miss the early days that had one Acura reference and that was it. And they made it funny.

Isn’t his whole thing leaving on a high note?

I liked the show a lot, and I particularly enjoyed the episodes where it was clear that both Jerry and his guest were having fun. It stands to reason that if they’re not having fun anymore, then it won’t be as enjoyable to watch anymore, so it makes sense to end its run when the fun dries up. Eleven “seasons” and 84

Jerry: “You look great!”

My favorite episode is with Ricky Gervais. I’m in tears watching them.

I totally agree. The first Alec Baldwin epidode was so good, I can watch it again and again. Alec is just such a funny guy.

Literally half the people on that show weren't comedians. Chill.

Those were great, but my favorites were the Alec Baldwin ones.  I know he’s an asshole but he’s funny and they had a great time together.

I know they look very casual and easy but they’re actually a lot of work to make, the editing is very intense and I don’t know, I feel like I may have done that exploration at this point.”

My favorites by far were the episodes with Ricky Gervais. Ricky’s brand of humor isn’t for everyone, but their dynamic was just super natural and entertaining. Even their silence was hilarious at times.

The amount of money Seinfeld has made purely from his entertainment jobs insane. On another level compared to almost any other entertainer. I’m sure he’s been wanting to take a break for a while.
