Some people are process oriented. They understand yes/no, do this/that and other object-oriented thinking centered around ‘doing’ rather than talking about it.

And when you have a thousand people reading what you’ve written and they are taking it a thousand different ways (that you never intended) then there is no way you can make all of them happy, so write as you speak.

Feel your feelings, but base those feelings in reality. When you encounter one of these confusing word choices ignore it and focus on the meaning of the message sent. If you understood the message sent then you have what you need and the message succeeded in its purpose. Be satisfied with that.

The difference is between the one who kills ‘them’, gay people in a bar, country-western music lovers, theatergoers etc. vs. the one who kills his own, whether they be family or co-workers.
