Patrick, it was great seeing you at the event and getting a minute to talk your ear off! Can’t wait for next year, maybe I’ll contribute an e30 or two, and I’m glad you guys are enjoying my buddy’s Hilux haha.

As someone who has driven both, no. Just no. The typhoon was cool in its time, but it’s in no way “fun” today. Read more

The B7, like other high end cars are fantastic, but you also lose your ass on them. I believe they depreciate faster than an S Class or Quattroporte, and that’s impressive considering the way they drop.

I miss when this was an actual post you’d see on jalopnik.

Knob, always knob. More straightforward and ergonomically pleasing to use. A steering wheel stalk that has more functions than turn signal or windshield wipers always frustrates me, and I always end up looking at them instead of the road to make sure I’m doing whatever it is I may be doing with them correctly Read more

The Gulia doesn’t sell in my opinion because they’re being sold out of FIAT dealers first, before any others, and the average 500 customer can’t afford a Gulia. It’s nice in theory, but at our Maserati store, we get a lot of customers asking if we will have the Gulia and they actually have the money to buy it, but we Read more

As it stands, Maserati was already offering 100k with their CPO program. This really doesn’t add that much cost to Maserati North America, since most customers aren’t driving these things more than a 100k to begin with, but it’s a good face value idea for them. Read more

Maserati is most certainly not picking up the slack with the Levante. The lease specials have been awful until really last month, and the volume has yet to come to fruition. The Ghibli has become their C class as of late and is flying out the door, new and used. It’s the “first step” into the brand. I actually believe Read more

A dude I work with owns an XL250 from way back in the day. Headlamp doesn’t work anymore and it leaks oil like an untrained puppy, but he won’t part with it.

The 24-70 F4, yes. I owned it for a while and my copy was pretty terrible. I did get a few shots I liked but overall, it was disappointing. The 24-70 2.8 is amazing, it’s just very heavy and very expensive haha. Read more

You can use canon glass on e mount bodies. Just need to get a metabones adapter. And the new 70-200 2.8 for e mount is superb.

It’s e mount, therefore it can. You can use any canon or sigma glass you want with a metabones or MC-11 adapter.

I whole heartedly disagree. The optics on Sony are some of the best, the issue is in QC. You will find more copies of Sony lenses that are bad than either of the other two. But the lion share of Sony lenses lately are meant to resolve on a 42mp FF sensor, socthe optics have both the choice but to be fantastic. Their Read more

90% of the M20 is easy stuff. The 10% That’s a pain in the ass is fine with me. E30's are, for the most part, both super beatable and super fixable. Engine wise, the only ones that are true headaches are M10's or S14's.

I’m all for reverential history, but King Kong has always been a character steeped in racism. For him to symbolically kill the “old” idea of King Kong to me is actually something I’d be very okay with. I am seeing this tonight and I now wish this would happened haha.

This is right on the edge of want and do not want, which I’m fine with. I wish it was replacing the evoque, however.
